A $21,000 reward has been announced for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of David Josiah Lawson.

There has been confusion regarding the exact amount that is being offered, with local news articles stating the amount as $30,000.

The reward was made possible by two $10,000 donations and a $1,000 donation from local community members.

Lawson was stabbed at an off campus Party Easter weekend and died as a result of his injuries. The accused suspect was released after five days of preliminary hearings due to a lack of physical evidence by a Eureka judge.

Anyone with information regarding the murder of David Josiah Lawson should call Arcata Police Department.

You can also call lead detective on the case Sergeant Todd Dockweiler at (707) 822-2426 or Lawson family attorney Justin Sanders (213) 426-5000 ext 1000
